Embrace the Change of Seasons with an Updated Hairstyle

Embrace the Change of Seasons with an Updated Hairstyle

We’ve had a long, hot summer – but make no mistake, fall and winter will be here in the blink of an eye! Now’s a great time to try a new hairstyle or just make some adjustments to your current haircut to give it an updated look. Here are some great styles that are trending for the fall and winter.

Soft face-framing cut. There are many great edgy, blunt cuts out there for the season but if you’re looking for something a little softer, this cut is great. Your Chad + Co stylist will use low-key layering that frames the face, highlight your best features, while giving long hair a softer, romantic look with lots of great movement.

Airy layers. Similar to the above cut, this also features a ton of layers. However, the purpose of these layers is to enhance your hair texture and give your locks a boost of high-dimensional depth with many airy, short layers strategically placed throughout your hair.

Long shag. Think 90s rocker but with an updated, modern vibe. It’s all about textured layers with fringe-cut bangs that’ll go perfect with your cold-weather attire. This is a low-maintenance cut – you can either come in every 4-6 weeks to keep the shape, or let it slowly grow out for an even shaggier look.

Asymmetrical lob. If you love the look of a bob but want to keep your length, a lob is a great choice. A lob is literally a long bob that typically falls to shoulder length. We’re seeing a lot of asymmetrical lobs this season where one side is slightly shorter then gradually gets longer to the other shoulder. It’s a fun twist on a classic hairstyle for an updated, edgy look.

Collarbone side bob. If you have naturally fine or thin hair, this short bob adds the illusion of thickness with the blunt length and gives you a major attitude when paired with deep side-parted bangs for some extra sass.

Razor bob. This bob keeps it all the same length but uses a straight-edge razor blade for a jagged cut. The length is usually between the neck and shoulders for textured, wispy ends which results in a sharper, feathered look. Add some bangs to really have your bob haircut stand out.

Pixie. If you like living on the edge, there’s nothing better than a cute pixie cut in the winter. A layered pixie is all the rage this season with multi-dimensional layers for a fantastic texture that can be dressed up for the office, can be fun and flirty on the weekends, or can be sleek and chic for a special occasion.

Middle part. Just want to revamp your current hairstyle? Have your stylist show you how just parting your hair in the middle can change your whole look. We’re seeing the middle part still trending this fall. Feeling bold? Add some curtain bangs to the middle part and you’ll have a whole new look with minimal change to your hair.
